Linda and Bob Do 17 Mile Drive
Okay, so Linda and Bob got here later than planned on Wednesday night, and we didn't get to do the dinner we planned, so we insisted they stay an extra day before heading back on the long drive to Nebraska. Since this was their first trip to California I really wanted to show them some of the sites; we eventually settled on a drive to Santa Cruz and then down the coast to Carmel, Pebble Beach and the famous 17 Mile Drive with its breathtaking views of the rocky coastline and windblown cypress trees. Below are the pictures from our adventure, starting with the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, the West Coast version of Coney Island. <g>
